Anesthesia
It’s very common for our patients to tell us that they are surprised at how easy, comfortable, and worry free their procedure was!
The Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial surgeons of Northern Texas Facial and Oral Surgery are experienced in pain and anxiety control and have extensive clinical experience in anesthesia techniques, from local anesthesia to IV sedation.
During your initial pre-surgical evaluation, you and your surgeon will discuss your medical history, the recommended surgical procedures and your anesthetic needs. Please inform us about any medications you are taking as it may alter the effects of anesthesia. Once you and your surgeon reach a decision regarding the type of anesthesia which is best for you, we will give you specific anesthesia instructions.
After your initial pre-surgical evaluation, you will come back for your surgical appointment. Family or friends who accompany you can relax in the reception area while you are comfortably seated in our surgical suite.
Our anesthesia services are provided in an environment of optimum safety, utilizing modern monitoring equipment and staff experienced in all areas of oral surgery, including anesthesia techniques. You can review pre-operative anesthesia instructions under Before Anesthesia in our Surgical Instructions section.
If you have any questions regarding your surgical procedure or preparation, please feel free to contact us.
