Nitrous Oxide

A mask with a blend of nitrous oxide/oxygen will be placed over your mouth and nose. Nitrous oxide, also known as “laughing gas”, helps you to relax. When inhaled, it is absorbed by the body and has a calming effect. Normal breathing eliminates nitrous oxide/oxygen from the body. You will also receive a local anesthetic after you begin the nitrous oxide.
